In 2016, a request for abandonment for Palm Street between Fannin and Main was denied by the city.  There is a new request to close Palm Street at that location, and we wanted to ensure our community is well-informed with as many details as we can provide at this time.

Please find information regarding the proposed Palm Street closure between Main St and Fannin from the 2016 request for Palm Street abandonment. Mustard highlights streets that have already been closed/dead-ended. Orange notes the currently proposed closure for Palm Street.

We have reached out to the applicant, Excelsior Land Company, for details on the project and have requested a meeting to share the project plans with the community.  The City has extended the Sept. 5 public comment period to accommodate a meeting with the developer, anticipated but not confirmed Sept. 9.
